2015 Hyundai Genesis V-8 First Test Luxury Sedan Is More Convincing Than Ever Before Even in their worst months, the BMW 5 Series and Mercedes-Benz E-Class crush Genesis sales, but that shouldn't worry Hyundai. The second-generation Hyundai Genesis luxury sedan is no mere refresh, and we'll be surprised if the car doesn't continue to slowly nibble away at the heels of leading luxury sellers.
Some buyers are happy to pay extra for real leather, heated front seats, and a rearview camera, but when the emotional pull of a respected luxury badge isn't enough to make a sale, the 2015 Hyundai Genesis is ready to catch the fallout.
We're not sold on that giant grille, but it's clear Hyundai isn't trying to hide this car's identity anymore. A winged Genesis badge graces the top of the front grille, the center of the wheels, and the steering wheel, unlike with the last-gen sedan. Even the power-folding sideview mirrors get in on the act -- every 2015 Hyundai Genesis has approach lamps that project the Genesis logo onto the ground near the front doors. Cool. | |
