2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Makes 650 hp and 650 lb-ft!! New Corvette Z06 is Most Powerful Chevy Ever Built Those denying the new 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 supercar status ought to think twice about their position.
GM announced horsepower and torque ratings for the new LT4-powered Corvette Z06, and damn are they impressive. The 2015 Corvette Z06's 6.2-liter supercharged V-8 makes an astonishing 650 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque, making it one of the most powerful cars on the market today, and the most powerful Chevrolet ever built.
Even more impressive than the 2015 Chevy Corvette Z06's power figures is its dyno chart. The Corvette Z06's LT4 engine makes 457 lb-ft of torque just off idle, and is making 625 lb-ft of torque by 2800 rpm. Peak torque comes on at just 3600 rpm, at which point the V-8 is producing over 400 hp.
The Corvette Z06's LT4 V-8 simply shames the previous-generation Corvette Z06's LS7 V-8, and the last Corvette ZR1's LS9 V-8. The last Corvette Z06 was powered by a naturally aspirated 7.0-liter V-8 making 505 hp and 442 lb-ft of torque, while the old Corvette ZR1 had a 6.2-liter supercharged V-8 producing 631 hp and 604 lb-ft of torque.
