Others rushed to join this high profit-margin party, but volume-wise, nobody ever threatened the Detroiters. Caddy's 2002 redesign of the GMT800 turned the tables, outselling Lincoln by 62 percent, and subsequent Lincoln redesigns never regained the upper hand.
